It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodger Dale Pitts of Hanceville, Alabama, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earney Pitts and Velvalee Harper Pitts; and his siblings, Betty Black (Howard), Jean Ann Pitts and Billy Pitts (Ruby Ann).
He is survived by: his son Dale Pitts (Teri); his grandchildren, Megan Pennington (Brett) and Hunter Pitts (Micha); his great grandchildren, Jasper Bryant, Ronin Pitts, Oliver Pennington and Lincoln Pitts; his granddaughters, Ivy Pitts and Sileah Laursen Pitts; and his brother Willie Pitts (Elaine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hanceville Funeral Home (100 Michelle St NW, Hanceville, AL 35077).
