With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lee Von Turner of Hartford, Alabama, who passed away on November 6, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Frank and Alice Thomley Auston; and her daughter Cindy Dianne Turner Berry. She is survived by: her husband James Moody Turner; her children, Kay DuRant (Phil) and Austin Turner (Amanda Smitherman); her grandsons, Phillip DuRant III (Hannah), Derrick Berry and James Peyton Turner; her great grandchildren, Caitlyn Dianne Berry, Addison Rae Berry, Ian DuRant, Zander DuRant and Lennon Beth DuRant; her sister Linda Harry; her sibling's children, Lydia Mauldin, Sherry Ward and Mike Harry; and her close friends, Billy and Barbara Lanson. She is also survived by numerous cousins and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sorrells Funeral Home (1315 W Lawrence St, Slocomb, AL 36375). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
