He is survived by: his wife Freda McHan Nickens of Hartselle, AL; his children, Chase Nickens (Candice) and Brittney Sparkman; his sister Lynn Thompson Vennessia (Eddie); his grandchildren, Connor Sparkman and Lily Sparkman; and his stepgrandchildren, Brooklyn, Braden Vann Pallbearers, Connor Sparkman, Daniel Bolio, Andy Foster, Sawyer Smith, David Orr, Jr. and Daniel Orr.
