He is survived by : his children, Carl Jason Monk and Lisa Monk Stewart (Van); his brother Frank Monk (Kathryn); his sister-in-law Mavis Monk; and his grandchildren, Van Stewart, Joe Watson, Brian Davis, Keith Monk, Scott Moore and Dee Monk.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home Chapel (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
