In loving memory of Don Allen South of Hartselle, Alabama, who departed this world on December 9, 2025 at the age of 64. Don leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman South and Rachel Bates South; and his siblings, Cheryl Higginbotham and Danny. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Johnson South; his children, David South (Erin) of Madison and Hannah Keenum (David) of Danville; his grandsons, Samuel South, Joshua South, Owen Keenum and Caleb Keenum; and his siblings, Carol South (Jimmy Harris) of Decatur and Mike South (Sheri) of Loveland, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the East Highland Baptist Church (1030 Main St E, Hartselle, AL 35640).
