He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman South and Rachel Bates South; and his siblings, Cheryl Higginbotham and Danny. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Johnson South; his children, David South (Erin) of Madison and Hannah Keenum (David) of Danville; his grandsons, Samuel South, Joshua South, Owen Keenum and Caleb Keenum; and his siblings, Carol South (Jimmy Harris) of Decatur and Mike South (Sheri) of Loveland, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
