She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard James and Gretchen Sandlin James; her husband Lonnie Eugene Ikner; her sons, Timothy Ikner and Jimmy Ikner; and her siblings, Helen James Ikner and Charles Lee James.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Chaney, Brenda Hall (Preston), Clarise Byers and Amy Hatfield; and her brother Edward James.
