It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freida Betterton (Hartselle, Alabama), who passed away on October 21, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Vest and Mamie Pannell Vest; and her husband Andrew Jack Betterton. She is survived by: her children, Andrew E. (Andy), William H. (Billy) and Jan G. Betterton of Stockbridge, GA; her grandchildren, Jacob (Jack), Jane Nuby (Chris) of Stevensville, MD, Jonathan Betterton of Ocean Springs, MS, Joseph Betterton of Memphis, TN, Samantha Bignell (Joe) of Ocean Springs, MS and Alison Koesters (Mark) of Harvest, AL; her great grandchildren, Jackson Betterton of Florence, AL, Joyanna Betterton, Garyn Singleton-Olmstead of Summertown, TN, Alice Nuby of Stevensville, MD, Madison Bignell of Ocean Springs, MS, Carson, Connor and Cole Darby of Harvest, AL; and her sisters, Katie Hill of Alabaster, AL and Reba Swinford (Cledith) of Hartselle, AL. She is also survived by friends & caregivers.
