She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Wister Cornelius and Sally D. Thornton Cornelius; her husband Gwinn Mason; and her brother Tommy Cornelius. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Childers (Edsel) and Ricky Mason (Rhonda); and her grandchildren, Michael Childers, Stacey Childers, Chris Childers, Kristen Eckstein (Chris), Kim Middleton (Stephen) and Josh Mason (Vicky).
