She was predeceased by: her son William Homer West; and her siblings, Gertha Cook, Hershel Mears, Alvie Mears and Charles Mears.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann West (Jerald Glover), Mary Elizabeth (Robbie Duke), Rebecca Gayle (Norman Nickelson), Lela Mae (Greg Bell), Timothy Dewayne (Jennifer West) and Jerack Lamont West; and her brother Ralph Mears (James Mears). She is also survived by Twenty-two grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
