He was predeceased by: his brother John Boyd Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Linda O'Bar Johnston; his children, Michael Alan Johnston (Angela) and Susan Leigh Johnston; his grandchildren, Connor Johnston, Landon Fanning (Becca), Sydney Johnston and Lydia Fanning; and his stepgrandchildren, Clarissa O'Connor, Carmen O'Connor and Maximillian Rivers.
