She was predeceased by: her parents, Quel Benson and Willie Pearl Owen McCutcheon; her brother John Dale McCutcheon; and her son Steven Tyrus Turney. She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Jeannine Turney McCormick (David) of Kimberly, AL; her siblings, Margaret Ann Wright of Collersville, TN and Dennis Boyce McCutcheon (Robin) of Athens, AL; her grandchildren, Magnolia Aven McCormick Gaur (Chandra) of Deli and Brennan A. McCormick of Birmingham, AL; and her great grandchildren, Kannin R. Guar and Neel E. Gaur.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cotaco Methodist Church (1170 Collins Hill Rd, Somerville, AL 35670). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cotaco Methodist Church in honor of Jeannie's devotion to her church family and community.
