He was predeceased by: his parents, H. E. Raby and Mildred Raby; and his brother W. E. Raby. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Raby; his sons, Al Raby (Tracy) and Ron Raby (Kathy); his sisters, Octa Watson, Nell Haltom and Ann Steele; and his grandchildren, Emma Raby, Sarah Raby, Brooks Raby and Jordan Waldrop.
