He is survived by: his wife Sherrie; his former wife Ann Ogle Bonin; his children, Valerie Fileger (Paul), Tammy Brandon (Keith) and Lance Bonin (Juan Guerrero); his grandchildren, Lori Butler (Paul), Chris Floyd (Chuck), Monica Sumners (Jonathan), Matthew Brandon, Alicia Storey (Mason Garman), Sebastian Higuera and Dalton Brandon; his great grandchildren, Sarah Butler, Lily Butler (Rey Ruiz), Cayla Floyd, Chloe Fronk (Stewart), Calvin Floyd, Lawrence Guthrie, Cara Floyd, Vivian Garman and Olivia Garman; and his sisters, Jean Jankunis, Joyce Morgan and Judy Wood (Craig).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (1055 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1055 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Joe's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or to a veteran-serving organization of the donor's choice.
