With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lonnie Oden of Hayden, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Toney Oden and Letha Oden (Montgomery); his siblings, Lynn Oden, Ruby Grindle and Helen Jones; and his son-in-law Dwayne Popwell.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Oden; his sons, Jeffery Oden (Nicole), Darryl Oden (Kim) and Christopher Oden (Jeff); his stepdaughters, Tammy Price (David), Carolyn Popwell, Franchesca Dever and Terri Dever; and his siblings, Phillip Oden (Sandra) and Goldie Malone. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home (17885 AL-160, Cleveland, AL 35049). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel (17885 AL-160, Cleveland, AL 35049).
