He is survived by: his daughters, Shelly Cook (Richard) and Becky Brown; his grandchildren, Maddy Cook, Gray Whisonant and Garrett Whisonant; his sister Betty Johnson; and his close friend Freda "Ducky". He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
