We announce the death of Elva Christine Collier of Hayneville, Alabama, who passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 89. Elva will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband James Walter Collier; her daughter Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Collier; her brother Robert Clyde Day; and her parents, Clyde Anthan Day and Mabel Christine Jackson Day.

She is survived by: her children, James Walter Collier, Jr. and Robbie Collier Bishop; her siblings, Mary Eunice Gaston, Clydie J. Gates and John T. Day; her grandchildren, Clay Collier (Cheryl), Clint Collier (Joanna), Dalton Bishop and Rachel Bishop; and her great grandchildren, Tommy, Jeremy, Anna, Jamie, Claire and Walter Collier.
