He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Mitchell and Mildred Stewart Mitchell; and his wife Mary Eleanor Reed Mitchell. He is survived by: his children, Ray Mitchell Jr. (Martini), Sandra Mitchell, Cynthia Mitchell Hopper and Sheila Mitchell (Marc Eisenberg); and his grandson Michael Mitchell.
