He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna For and James Ursery Sr. For; his wife Lynne; and his sisters, Peggy and Patsy Ursery.
He is survived by: his daughters, Charlotte Ursery and Meggan Sanders (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Jordan Ursery, Alexandria "Lexi" Sanders and Jovanna "JoJo" Sanders; and his siblings, Edward "Polly" Ursery, James "Bubba" Ursery Jr. (Mary), Carolyn McMurtry (Daryl) and Azalee Ursery (James). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Hazel Green Church (15240 US-231, Hazel Green, AL 35750). A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
