We announce the death of Janie Riggins (Hazel Green, Alabama), who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 62. Janie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Riggins and Carolyn Faye Shaneyfelt; her brothers, Jimmy Lee Riggins and Paul Eugene Riggins; and her granddaughter Layla Riggins.
She is survived by: her son Anthony Riggins (Stacy); her grandchildren, Mikayla Riggins and Kloie Riggins; her daughter Kim Mason (Ricky); her grandchildren, Alex Mason, Autumn Mason, Marc Mason, Trey Mason and Brayden Mason; and her sisters, Angie O'Keefe, Charlotte Stafford and Barbara Rodriguez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home (13921 US-231, Hazel Green, AL 35750).
