He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest DeWeese and Vera Mae DeWeese; his wife Cathy DeWeese; and his daughter Vera Elizabeth Walker. He is survived by: his sons, Richard, Nick and Matthew; his siblings, Steve DeWeese (Gale) and Wanda Igo; and his grandchildren, Sid, Layne, Eric, Graham, Levi, Emma and Jonah.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home (13921 US-231, Hazel Green, AL 35750). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
