He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Jefferson Carnley and Myrter Lee Johnson Carnley; his wife Lavell Carpenter Carnley; and his sisters, Edith Isler, Mary Roberts and Carolyn Barnes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Smith (Acker) of Hattiesburg, MS, Wanda Sue Tolar (Ken) of Scottsboro, AL and Kay McKnight (Milton) of Newton, AL; his grandchildren, Chad Smith (Sheilah), Bethany White, Andy Tolar, Alan Tolar (Bekah), Aaron Tolar and Kayla Latuso (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Christina Peeples (Andrew), Emma Harris (Bryce), Rhett Smith, Maddie White, Mia White, Marleigh White, Luke Tolar, Angeline Latuso and Rylan Holloway; and his great great grandchild Cooper Peeples.
