He was predeceased by : his parents, Sam Deese and Lillie Deese; and his siblings, Mildred, Helen Brooks, Vernell Smith and Othelia Deese.

He is survived by : his wife Betty Deese of Ranburne, AL; his sons, Greg Deese (Jackie) and Steven Deese (Amanda); his siblings, Owedia Spruill, Byron Deese (Joyce) and Kenneth Deese; and his grandchildren, Belinda Turner, Taylor Walldorff (Greyson), Skylar Deese, Hannah Turner, Holley Turner and Sydney Deese.
