It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James William Melton (Heflin, Alabama), who passed away on August 2, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Wesley and Margaret Reynolds Melton; his sister Shirley Hall; and his mother-in-law Edna Howell. He is survived by : his wife Kay Howell (Georgia); his children, Hope Melton, Wesley Melton (Jennifer) and Faith "Missy" Price (Charles); his grandchildren, Sean Gray, Leslie Ward (Bronson), Jacob Lee (Jodi), Harlie Jones (Gabriel), Abby Adams (Blaise), Anna Lee and Savannah Melton; and his great grandchildren, Sylas, Rowan, Amelia and Nola. He is also survived by many friends and neighbors, especially his family.
