He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey L. Forsyth and Evia Anderton Forsyth of Cullman, Alabama.; his wife Catherine Walker Forsyth; his siblings, Louise Coolidge and Douglas D. Forsyth; his grandchild LeaAnn Forsyth; and his son-in-law James L. Bennett.

He is survived by: his children, Wayne Forsyth (Deborah) and Yvonne Forsyth Bennett of Heflin, AL.; his grandchildren, Emily DeVries (Rick) of Villa Rica, GA, Kristin Cobb Johnson of Heflin, AL and Adam Willis (Jaclyn) of Anniston, AL.; his great grandchildren, Ayden Willis of Heflin, AL, Connor Johnson of Heflin, AL, Tripp Bennett of Heflin, AL, Jake DeVries and AnnaBelle DeVries of Villa Rica, GA.; and his siblings, Leon Forsyth (Nancy) of Heflin, AL and Bonnie Speegle of Cullman, AL..
