He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Scott, Sr. and Maggie Dell Scott; and his brother Sam Scott Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Russell Scott; his children, Tonya Scott, Leta Michelle Scott Gulley, Whitney Woodard and Weaver Hawkins (Kristy); his grandchildren, Tiffany, Teayra, Tynisha, Ashley, Alexis, Marshall, Ellery, Charlee, Roxie and Weaver V; and his siblings, Ernestine, Rose, Ruby, Doris, Denita, Debra, Bob and Barry.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in honor of Will's life and legacy to A Promise to Help, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth and families throughout Alabama's Black Belt region.
