He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Mason; his children, Charles Ernest Mason II (Jo), Michael Mason (Stephany), Kristen Sartin (Travis) and Lydia Shaw Jordan (Joe); and his grandchildren, Phillip Shaw, Jacqueline Shaw (Dan), Tyler Mason (Ashley) and Tabitha Poppenwimer (Tyler). He is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren, A Host of nieces and nephews.
