With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie Mae Wade Tanner of Henagar, Alabama, who passed away on June 10, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Lee and Ollie Mae Kerby Wade; her husbands, Boyd Tanner and Hubert Phillips; her close friend Jessie Allen; her children, Tammy Phillips, Kimberly Phillips Grimme and Scotty Phillips; and her grandsons, Bruce Phillips and Shelton Tanner.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Tanner Overdear, Angela Phillips Grimme, Teresa Phillips Sewell (Randy), Laura Tanner, Butch Tanner (Charlotte) and Keith Phillips; her sons-in-law, Val "Tim" Grimme and Jerry Grimme; her grandchildren, Jeff Overdear (Tara), Ryan Grimme (Whitney), Gencie Thurmond Belmonte (Carlos), Jessica Grimme McGee and Preston Grimme (Caitlyn); and her great grandchildren, Samantha Overdear, Harper, Bodhi, Dalen Belmonte, Ellie, Molly McGee, Kimber, Tilda, Tanner Grimme, Stella and Declan Grimme.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981).
