We announce the death of Louise Newman Ivey of Henagar, Alabama, who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 96. Louise will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Felix and Martha Jane Williams Newman; her children, Doug Ivey and Teresa Bethune; and her siblings, Eula Smith, Velma Brown, Alma Mize, Irene Jenkins, Vera Dodson, Belle Owens, Hubert, Clarence and Hulen "Bud" Newman.
She is survived by: her husband Loyd Ivey; her daughters, Marian Biddle (Joey) and Martha Brown (Danny); her children-in-law, Vicky Ivey and David Bethune; her grandchildren, Candace Sizemore (Chad), Ivey Thoren (Tim), Lindsey Watkins, Adam Biddle (Jessica), Will Ivey, Lilly Underwood and Molly Ivey; and her great grandchildren, Halle, Eva Sizemore, Callie, Kate Watkins, Zoe, Beau Thoren, Claire and Audrey Biddle.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church (1072 Liberty Rd, Henagar, AL 35978).
