He is survived by: his wife Teresa Ward Nelson; his son Stephen Nelson (Christie); his sisters, Mary Jo Knopps, Eloise Gifford, Phyllis Lee and Berthell Bramlett; his grandson Samuel Nelson; and his stepgrandson Samuel Kline (Nelson).
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. T Wilson Funeral Chapel (2226 Main St Shiloh, Rainsville, AL 35986). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
