It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verlie Hammond Stone of Henagar, Alabama, born in Fyffe, Alabama, who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Levi Grady and Lila Knott Hammond. She is survived by : her husband Van Stone; her sons, Bruce Stone and Randy Stone (Brenda); her grandchildren, Aaron Allen (Windy), Ashley Perry (Greg) and Nick Stone; and her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Alhanna Allen, Aaron, Emmi, Lanie Klawitter, Jake and Brooks Perry.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
