He was predeceased by : his mother Mildred Monroe Dawson; his grandparents, Ina, Monroe, Leonard and Myrtle Dawson; his aunts, Damaris Williamson and Carolyn Dawson; and his uncle Bob Crosslin.

He is survived by : his father Wendell Dawson Sr.; his brothers, Cleve Dawson (Teresa) and Travis Dawson; his niece Addison Dawson (McKenzie Shipman Dawson); his aunt Donna Monroe; his cousins, Katie Lewis, Benjamin, Ayden, Chloe Lewis, Greg Crosslin, Grant Crosslin and Penny Dawson; and his great-aunt Vera Cisco.
