He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oliver Amos and Essie Asenath Brown Overdear. He is survived by: his sons, Franklin Overdear of Crestview and Jeffrey Overdear (Tara) of Rayne Louisiana; his grandchildren, Aaron Drew Overdear and Samantha Marie Overdear; and his brother Austin Lee "Bud" Overdear (Ginny).
