He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Sampson and Sandy Pritchett Sampson; his sister Amy Sampson; and his grandparents, Tommy, Pluma Sampson, Cleo and Hazel Pritchett.

He is survived by : his sisters, Lorriane Sampson Peacock (Brad), Shannon Sampson Pruett (Jamie) and Kristina Sampson Whited (Evan); his nieces and nephews, Devan Gilbert (Ethan), Taylor Veal (Jason), Alexis Michaels (Hunter), Peyton Pruett, Erin Pruett, Allie Pruett and Jenna Peacock (Michelle Landers); and his grandchildren, Canyon, Carson, Nolan and Heidi.
