With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Faye McBryar of Higdon, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Faye left this world on December 9, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Dee and Della Hill Pennington; her husband Joseph "J. C." McBryar; her daughter Tabatha Lynn McBryar; and her sisters, Ruth Blevins, Jean Mayo, Elma Clayton, Wanda Higdon, Martha McAllister and Judy Jones.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Whitley (Darrell) of Davenport, Florida, Crystal Freeman (Jeff) of Davenport, Florida and Deanna Shrader of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and her granddaughters, Tyree Middlebrooks (Scott), Makisha Cordell (James), Makala Freeman, Maleia Sealey (Blake), April Purdom (Mike) and Becky Holcomb (Alex). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Higdon Free Holiness Church (790 Co Rd 320, Higdon, AL 35979). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
