He was predeceased by : his parents, James Medford and Dimple Heard Lea; his son Melvin Tucker; his sister Ester Rievely; his grandchildren, Jonathan McDowell, Caleb Wright, Cody Busby and Amber Talley; and his sister-in-law Kay Lea.
He is survived by : his wife Erthelene Lea; his children, Jimmy Lea (Gina), Joy Talley (Roger), Pam Busby (Dennis) and Janie Wright; and his siblings, Crawford Lea, Joe Lea (Wanda) and Elizabeth Guffey. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home - Bryant (1474 AL-73, Bryant, AL 35958). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at the Brown Gap Brown Gap Cemetery.
