He was predeceased by: his wife Freda Chappalear Higdon; his parents, Oval Higdon and Gracie Cagle Higdon; and his siblings, Garlton Higdon Sr., Lavita Higdon, Patricia Bryant, Lendon Higdon and Arthur Tinker.
He is survived by: his children, Ericka Higdon, Tanya Higdon (Phillip Smith), Wendy Higdon and Angie McBryar (Scotty); his grandchildren, River Bell (Katie), Lake Bell, Creek Higdon, Mason Smith, Atlas Smith, Grenlee Higdon, Morgan Higdon, Hallie West (Jesse), Chevy West, Rayne Higdon and Blaine McBryar; his great grandchildren, Braylee, Oaklynn, Wylder, Emersyn, Marlee, Zaylee, Sadie, Rylie, Chloe, Makinlee, Indie, Reece and Chance; and his siblings, Earlene Pritchett, Dorothy Smith, Leedell Higdon and Lebron Higdon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home - Bryant (1474 AL-73, Bryant, AL 35958). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Higdon Cemetery.
