He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Young; his parents, Dale Henry Young and Hester Louise Herring Young; and his siblings, Minnie Lou Hill and Garry Dale Young.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Young (Karon) and Jeff Young (Marsha); his grandchildren, Cody, Justin, Sean, Aspen, Savannah, Leland and Faith Young; his great grandchild Bryce Young; and his siblings, Maxine Floyd, Linda Kay Young, Greg Young (Sherry) and Rickey Young (Betty). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Collier-Butler Funeral Home (824 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John can be made to Croft Ferry Baptist Church in Ballplay.
