Katherine E. Downey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine E. Downey of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ed Downey; and her parents, Willie Eugene Johnson and Rachel Elizabeth Avery Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Wren and Chris Downey (Debbie); her sister Etta Faye Taylor; her siblings' children, Kaye Porter (Drew), Jack Porter and Toni Gillespie (Patrick); and her brother Ronnie League.
