We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2025, at the age of 71, Douglas Avery Maggart of Hollytree, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Douglas' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Douglas has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his son Travis Maggart; his parents, Alford Maggart and Angie Salle; and his nephew Curtis Maggart (Pete). He is survived by: his wife Diane Little Maggart; his son Brandon Maggart; and his siblings, Joann Wilbourn and Timmy Maggart (Rita). He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, and a host of life-long friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Berryhill Funeral Home (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Valhalla Memory Gardens (698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811).
