She was predeceased by : her husband C. W. Johnson; her parents, John Thomas and Maudie Atkins; her son Ronnie Johnson; and her sister Laura Steifel.

She is survived by : her children, Bobby Roy Johnson (Patricia), Carolyn Gray and Pam Hill (Scotty); her grandchildren, Robyn Shelton (Wayne), April Hastings (Tafton), Jason Johnson, Angie Foster (Shannon), Jeremy Gilliam (Sherry) and Jacob Hill (Megan); and her brothers, J. D. Atkins (Stella), John Ed Atkins (Cathy) and Bobby Atkins. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
