We are sad to announce that, on January 6, 2026, at the age of 84, Evie Thomas of Hoover, Alabama passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evie Thomas to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Fendley and Maggie Fendley; her siblings, Tony Fendley, Billy Blackmon, Melvin Blackmon, Huey Blackmon, George Fendley, Mary Williamson and Alberta Boswell; and her brothers-in-law, Faron York and Bobby Bedgood.
She is survived by: her husband James Vernon Thomas; her daughter Pam Thomas Nelson (Mark); her sisters, Ann Bedgood, Shirley Thacker (Arlon) and Linda York; her sister-in-law Peggy Fendley; and her grandchildren, James Cowan (Madi) and Christi Cowan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Greensboro Bible Methodist Church.
