With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenda Nell Self (Hoover, Alabama), who passed away on March 27, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Brasher and Nadine Vanderver Brasher; and her husband Charles H. Self, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Charles Jr. (Maxine); her cousins, Dian Perryman and Hilda Kendricks; and her daughters-in-law, Martie Self Martindale (Alan), Robin Self Zimmerman and Warrene Self.
She also enjoyed weekend jaunts for a few years with her son Mike, as they did "charity work" for the South Alabama Indian Tribes, aka supporting the casinos.
