She is survived by: her children, Sara Core of Phenix City, AL, Pierre Core (Chisa) of Opelika, AL, John Core of Opelika, AL, Jacquita Core of Opelika, AL and Jacquetta Core of Beauregard, AL; her grandchildren, Jalen Parker, X'Zavier Bullock, A'Maya Robinson, Lauryn Edwards, Emiri Core, Pakari Core and Prinston Core; her brothers, Keith Hughley of Vancouver, BC, Reverend James Core (Cynthia) of Opelika, AL and Rodney Core of Birmingham, AL; and her aunts and uncles, Patricia Williams (John) of Opelika, AL, Fannie King of Opelika, AL, Reverend David Core (Emma) of Opelika, AL, Arthur Core (Mary Pearl) of Opelika, AL, John Core (Ollivette) of Tuskegee, AL, Jessie Core (Molly) of Alexander City, AL, Jerry Core of Augusta, GA and Ruben Lyons of Augusta, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel (515 S 6th St, Opelika, AL 36801).
