He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Myrtle Overton, Walter and Lucy Payne; his grandparents, Alice Overton, James Harley Hodge and Lola Mae Duke Hodge; his aunt Jayne Overton; his uncles, Jeremy Overton, Donald Hodge, Robert Hodge and Joe Hodge; and his cousin Levi Overton.
He is survived by: his parents, James Overton and Judy Hodge Overton; his daughter Kennedy Ryan Overton; his spouse Madison Jernigan; and his aunts and uncles, Joyce McLeroy, Jennifer Seymour, Jolene Noblett, Margaret Smothers, Jerome Overton, Chuck Hodge, Roger Hodge and David Hodge. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home - Double Springs (25714 AL-195, Double Springs, AL 35553). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
