She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Humphries and Margaret O. Humphries; and her sister Gloria Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Richard Akins; her daughters, Amanda Lucas (Adam) and Alicia Akins; her grandsons, Adam Lucas, II, Alex Lucas and Hadley Rae Schaeffer; her siblings, Linda Smith, Sylvia Younger (Hugh) and Bill Humphries (Cheryl); and her pets, Walnut, Peanut, Lucy, Tia and Tillie. She is also survived by numerous niece, nephews and other relatives and friends.
