He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Upton and Billy Upton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Upton; his sister Vicki Jackson (Rick); his children, Danny Upton, Becky Webster (Keith), Karen Ball (Brian) and Dwayne Upton (Wendy); and his grandchildren, Nichole Upton, Joe Berry (Amanda), Zack Berry, Christina Bray (Michael), Brendon Ball, Brook Emery (Jayden) and Bret Adams. He is also survived by nine great grand children, many nieces, nephews.
In the end, he was confined to home for the past year with Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body Dementia, where Linda cared for him with the help of Center Well Home Health and Hospice of North Alabama.
