Benny left this world on June 20, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Neta Matthey. He is survived by: his son Michael Matthey (Tina Hinerman-Matthey); his grandchildren, Brittney Boehm (Dylan), Zachary Matthey (Bayley) and Parker Matthey; his great grandchildren, Clay Matthey and Miles Boehm; his brothers, Bernard "Bunny" Matthey (Diane) of Clarksburg and David Matthey of Pensacola, Florida.; and his in-laws, Nancy Matthey, Joe, Carolyn Green and Barbara Myers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burnside Funeral Home (607 S Virginia Ave, Bridgeport, WV 26330). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
