He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Dean and Zula Scott Maness; and his sisters, Lois Murphy and Joceil Pryor. He is survived by: his wife Martha Aileen Maness (Hanks); his sons, Michael Maness (Ginger) of Columbus, GA, Mark Maness (Kristine) of Huntsville, AL and Roger Maness (Brie) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Will, Emily, Madelyn, Matthew, Walker and Abigail; and his sisters, Helen Mullins of Jackson, TN and Linda Holyfield of Gadsden, TN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hampton Cove Cemetery (Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
