He was predeceased by: his father Alton; and his wife Trudy Anderson King. He is survived by: his children, Joe A. King (Linda) and Susan K. Hawkins (Ben); his grandchildren, Joe A. King Jr. (Bethany), Wesley W. King and Amy L. Robinson; and his great grandchildren, Mary Foster King, Betsy King, Allie King and Charlie King.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berryhill Funeral Home (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
