With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cleadous Emmett Mathis of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleadous Mathis (Agnes Dixon Mathis) and Carolyn Tripp of Camargo, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Johnson of Ardmore, Sherry Clem of Elkmont and Laura Meier of Harvest, Alabama.; and his siblings' children, Joey Marlow, Jeff Marlow, Johnny Marlow, Bert Clem, Travis Johnson, Sharon Ayers, Glinda Hardin, Diane Rogers and Charlotte Owen. He is also survived by many great nephews, great nieces, great great nephews, great great nieces, many cousins, as well as many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
